How Brits can earn £100 by staying in hotels
Typically, hotel stays require an outlay of funds, yet a novel loyalty initiative may reverse this dynamic for UK travelers. Hotels.com has unveiled a fresh program tailored to British customers, promising financial returns for their time away.
Hotels.com Rewards: A New Earnings Model
The initiative, named Hotels.com Rewards, grants participants up to £100 in Hotels.com Cash for every 10 qualifying nights spent in a hotel. This reward can accumulate from consecutive stays or multiple visits across different properties, offering versatility for users.
Every unit of Hotels.com Cash holds the same value as real money, redeemable for a wide array of accommodations listed on the platform. The program’s launch spans from April 8 to May 8, aligning with the seasonal demand for summer travel bookings.
“Loyalty programs don’t have to be intricate,” said Hari Nair, Hotels.com general manager. “They should feel intuitive and straightforward, matching the expectations of modern travelers.”
Nair emphasized simplicity, noting that the program is designed to eliminate confusion. “Travellers seek rewards that are easy to grasp and apply,” he added, highlighting the ease of redeeming benefits without restrictions or complex calculations.
Flexible Benefits for All Tiers
Members also gain access to discounts of at least 10% on thousands of global properties. As bookings increase, so do the rewards, unlocking tiered advantages. Silver-tier participants receive 15% or more off, while Gold and Platinum members enjoy 20% savings at select hotels.
Furthermore, VIP Access properties—those maintaining elevated service standards—offer exclusive perks to all tiers, such as complimentary breakfasts or room upgrades. The ‘Save Your Way’ tool enhances this flexibility, allowing users to apply discounts immediately or store them for later use.
Seamless Transition for Existing Members
Joining the program is free, and current One Key members will be automatically transitioned. Their accumulated rewards and progress will remain intact, ensuring no loss of benefits.
With this structure, travelers can now turn their stays into a source of value, redefining how they engage with hotel bookings. The initiative aims to simplify the rewards process while maximizing savings across both present and future trips.
